The old Farmer’s Almanac’s annual Winter outlook says, singles out the Southeast in particular as an area where it will be cold and rainy. The report calls for “below-normal” temperatures in the region, “with an unseasonable chill reaching as far south as the Gulf Coast, with above-average precipitation.” Below normal temperatures can cause a major impact on your irrigation system. Prolonged, subfreezing temps can cause cracks in your pipes and problems with your valves too. You can prevent the likelihood of a costly repair by winterizing before Winter comes! And you’ll protect your pocketbook, too.
