No – you don’t have to ditch that existing outdoor lighting system. If a an outdoor lighting system was put in properly, making the upgrade to LED’s is often simple. Particularly with the advancements in bulb technology, it could just be a bulb change. If a fixture change is required, those fixtures can be used with the existing wiring (again if it was installed properly) and with the existing timer. The timer and fixtures are the most expensive components of any outdoor lighting system – and as I said if all is well with the existing system you shouldn’t have to change the timer for sure. This can make your upgrade to LEDs a breeze. Ask us how to bring more efficient outdoor lighting to your home!
