I know we have touched on this before but we had a call yesterday that brought this back to mind. The two main backflow devices used for irrigation systems are the dual check backflow and the double check backflow. As you know, these devices are key to keeping contaminants out of yours and your neighbors’ drinking water. The double check backflow is what is typically required when a county or municipality sets a standard. The double check backflow device is testable and provides the most effective prevention of contamination. The dual check backflow device is not the same as a double check device. Dual check backflow devices are typically used in non-toxic situations. The soil in your lawn can be toxic so a dual check backflow does not provide adequate protection from contaminants. #irrigationbackflowdevices
