Its a rainy, nasty day outside. Speaking of, I saw someone’s irrigation system running during the rain! Your system should not be running during the rain so you may need to get it checked out. It’s the law-irrigation systems must have an automatic rain sensor shut-off switch. A rain sensor is designed to stop the irrigation system from operating during rainfall. Wireless versions are available and can be installed easily with a receiver next to your irrigation controller and a transmitter set up anywhere that it can collect rain. Since they system ceases to run when rain is detected, not only are you not over watering your lawn and soaking it, you are also saving money by using less water!
